Courtney Dayton is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Clinical Supervisor. She received her Bachelor’s degree from SUNY New Paltz and her Master’s degree from Hofstra University. Courtney has supported clients across multiple settings and has experience with anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation, and family conflict.
Courtney has worked with families, individuals, and couples, and has assisted with group therapy. She works collaboratively with clients, striving to illuminate their strengths and create a therapeutic experience tailored to each individual.
Courtney integrates Solution-Focused Therapy, Structural Family Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. She is also trained in Child-Centered Play Therapy, which informs her work with younger clients.
As a Marriage and Family Therapist, Courtney considers presenting concerns within the context of a client’s family system. She is curious about patterns, boundaries, and relationship dynamics, and enjoys helping families develop new ways to communicate so each member can feel safe, respected, and empowered.
